I have an old Helwan Brigadier 9mm, a gift from a friend. The grip is cracked, and could be superglued, but I'm wondering if anyone is aware of a place online from where I could order a new grip. Is it worth it? I'm a poor grad student and can't afford to replace the gun at the moment, though I'd much rather do that and get something a little easier to carry. The price was definitely right on this one.

Thanks!

Beretta Model 51 grips should fit that Helwan; it is a licensed copy of the Beretta.

A Helwan Brigadier was my first purchased handgun in 1987. Probably worth $125-250 depending on finding a willing buyer. I would probably go $175 for purely sentimental sake. Test lots of rounds of your chosen hollowpoint ammo... they have a tendency to feed only full metal jacket with any reliability.
