Today I was going thru my powder magazine and came across an unopened can of Hercules Reloader 12 with a price of $14.99 on a small tag. I checked all of the reloading manuals, as well as the Hercules/Alliant reloading manuals and could not even find that powder listed, let alone any loading data. The closest I came was Reloader 11 from Alliant.

I'm wondering if there is anyone out there that can give me any information on what I have? I do plan on getting a hold of Alliant to see if that was mislabeled, but I do understand why it is still unopened, due to the fact there is no loading data available. Note, I do keep all my powder in a magazine container with the temperature no warmer than 80 degrees, and generally at 72 degrees all year long.

Sorry ....I didn't fully explain ... if you click on the link ...there comes up a list of various Alliant manuals along with some other stuff ... but the 1996 manual has a lot of data in it ... It will download as a PDF file ... I didn't check every year but I think it was listed up to about 2000 ...

Speer #12 and #13 have load data. I found a pound a couple years ago and that was the only place I found data.Didn’t think to check the yearly Alliant guides but I checked a lot of other manuals and the only place I found anything was in the Speers listed above

Jim I thank you for that reloading info, I got quite a few recipes out of that link, BTW it was under the 1987 manuals, and I marked it for future reference. Alliant came back and simply stated "it was a discontinued powder, and would not be applicable to the newer primers and projectiles used today". Sounds like a bunch of ca, ca to me. Once again I thank you, also I opened it and it appears to be in like new condition, no weird odors or discoloration etc.
