Hello All!

So...I got a 1911 usgi ss pistol tonight. I like it alot, but...I was wanting to know if there was ever a stainless steel trigger made just like the original gi triggers, i.e. low profile, slim, however you want to call them? Also, can anyone tell me what safety features are entirely in this pistol that don't make it an older style standard 1911a1? Like new safety ideas in the mainspring housing or in the slide...I had a colt stainless series 80 once, and didn't care it. I just like normal safety's as they were originally, you know? So, if you could please point those out to me that are in this pistol I would greatly appreciate it, then maybe I can start turning it into original style condition, just my preference, if i'm able, thanks!

First, go to brownells.com and order their free 1911 catalog. Many things you never knew you needed until you saw them in there.

As far as I know, that model just has the SA integral locking system in the mainspring housing. My dad just got one and asked me what it was, I told him to never mess with it and pretend it's not there.
