High Point Carbine - Mag Tweaking?

What is it EXACTLY that everyone is doing when they "tweak" their magazines for the carbine.? Are they opening up the actual lips or the two small pieces that protrude out the front.? How much is needed....?

My carbine has recently taken to misfeeds like a champ. About 30%-40% of all rounds will go nose up and be pinned there by the action closing. I am not real keen on sending it back to the factory for a third time.

I got three factory mags with my HiPoint - none of them needed tweaking. If you call HiPoint and let them know you have a junk magazine wont they send you another? Or are you thinking your mags need "adjusted" to you gun??

I am thinking the mags need tweaking to my gun.... I have attempted to "open" the front protrusions on the mags, to no avail. I was curious if they (the protrusions) were supposed to be tight or loose....
