Can any of you experts out there tell me about this High standard Pistol that I aquired a few years ago. It doesnt shoot, and I have planned on sending it to High standard to get it fixed. The trigger doesnt pull at all, but its not rusted or siezed in any way.

1. Value

2. Collector Interest

That looks like a 102 Citation. It also looks like it has the 10" barrel and they are quite scarce. Depending on a few minor features it should have it may be a pistol highly sought after by collectors. The 102s were made from 1957 to 1960. Forget about sending it to High Standard as the company that made that gun is long out of business. The High Standard company today is an entirely new company that makes repos of some of the original guns, but none that old.
To take a wild guess at it's problems either one of the springs have given out and the trigger won't reset or the trigger bar has broken. Does the hammer stay cocked when you rack the slide?

Trigger overtavel screw

On the right hand side of the frame just above the trigger there is a slotted screw head. This "screw" is actually the trigger over-travel adjustment. Its shank is tapered and has four flats on it. As you turn the screw in you expose more of the tapered shank to the trigger shank, limiting how far the trigger can travel when pulled. Someone that didn't know what the function of the screw was may have assumed that it was just a loose screw and tightened it up thereby locking up the trigger. Back the screw out a few turns and see if the trigger moves free.

Follow this link http://www.histandard.info/manuals/lpbpistols/1172D150R.pdf for a manual on the 102. Part #10175 is the screw under discussion. This comes from John Stimson's site www.histandard.info I recommend going there and browsing the model and manual sections for more info.

Took your advise and loosed up that screw a few turns and when I racked that slide, the trigger pulled and I heard the firing pin. So I know that works.

I did look around the slide and it sticks a bit, after closer review I noticed that there is a small nick inside the magazine well/chamber area. I included some pictures of it.

I dont think this is fixable? Or am I wrong??? thanks for all the help.

Don't worry about it

If you are talking about that little dished out area that appears to be just about directly under the ejector - leave it alone. No need to fix it - most likely the result of an over zealous assembler with a bad filing technique at the factory when assembling the gun.

The slide seems to be hung up and stick, when you rack the slide it sticks and its not from being dirty or un lubed.
