I stopped wearing traditional hunting boots years ago and have used various hiking boots instead. I've been using these for the last few years and think they are the best boots I've ever used. I haven't hunted in insulated boots in over 20 years. Something like this with good quality wool socks works just fine for me. I hunted in a foot of snow with temps in the teens last year in Colorado with an un-insulated boot and did fine.
