I haven't shot other sub guns but the recoil is still extremely mild. I don't see how it's harsh even compared to a .22 rifle.

I've shot everything from Sten's to Port Said's and the MP5 beat's em all when it comes to controlability, accuracy and felt recoil. It is truly a pussycat in the recoil department.
