right now, i carry using a galco fletch holster. galco describes it as a high ride hip holster. anyway, it doesn't ride as high as i had hoped... my longest shirt covers the barrel-end of the holster, but during normal daily activities, sometimes the shirt gets hung up just enough to expose the bottom inch or so of the holster... this is just not acceptable.

is there a good holster that will ride a little higher, or do i need to convert to an iwb holster, or??

i would also like to be able to cover the gun/holster w/ just an untucked t-shirt, which is out of the question w/ the current system - it just won't happen. so far, because of the cold weather, i have been getting by ok by wearing a flannel shirt, but warmer days are coming, and my quilted flannel will be too much to bear, nevermind suspicious! :what:

the gun is a sig p229, fwiw.

thanks for any advice.

Well I can tell you a good 75-80% of the holsters I make are IWB for CCW.
Id highly recommend it for anyone in your position.

The high ride holsters are good in some applications but an IWB is just about always better.

You can still have the gun at a comfy ride ht retaining good carry balance and have grip access where you are used to it.

If your shirt does ride up its gotta go above your belt line to expose anything that would seriously draw attention to you................

Just my 2.03468434986464684168 Cents :D

Shoot well.
