I scored 2 lbs of 700 x at Scheels, Friday …. Grand Forks, No. Dak…. When I was again asking why is everything so short the old guy behind the counter said; “homeland security now limits us to no more than 100 lbs of powder per shipment”. Is this just another attempt by the Govt to limit seaplys….? Does anybody know for sure what type of shipping limit commercial suppliers had before home land security evolved…..? :uhoh:

I thought this was always the case, no truck can carry more than 100lb at a time.

It's a DOT rule if anything. Google it and one of the top hits is the FedEx shipping guide.

I also tend to ignore anything said by anyone behind a counter at a sporting goods store. I even tend to doubt them on prices and in-stock status of stuff.

I was looking for a die yesterday, and was told, "we don't carry those" after I checked stock by calling the national customer support line and was told they had 3 of what I needed.

A careful look at the shelf revealed, wait for it...three of what I was looking for.

Jr. point well taken about the guy behind the counter.http://images.thehighroad.org/smilies/biggrin.gif... as to DOT.. searching there is a lot of reading 1000s of pages. Looks like there were changes to match the UN regulations about 2010 ... This will take some time to search out.... I WAS hoping someone knew for sure... thxks for your thoughts
