Hornady/Pacific Beam Scale

Got a nice surprise this morning. A friend of my fathers, who also reloads, gave me a nice little starter package to help in my endevor. RCBS Uniflow, RCBS 505, Lyman Universal case trimmer and a Hornady/Pacific beam scale. Made my day!! the Hornady scale is unfortunately missing the powder cup and hanger. Does anyone know where I might be able to find them. Not sure if Hornady would have them since they have discontinued this scale and has gone digital. :banghead:

If they don't have parts, it seems pretty unlikely anywhere else does either.

If push comes to shove, you can probably use an RCBS pan and hanger.

There is a small container of shot under the pan hanger, and you can remove or add shot to zero it to your scale.

I have that same scale and am happy with it. I use Lyman checkweights, but it never seems to need adjusting.

I bet you could look at some pictures and come up with your own hanger out of aluminum wire, and then just order some other brand pan.

Looks like I will have to mix and match. Hornady no longer has parts available.

I made an arrow hanger for mine out of some safety wire. I bet it would be real easy to get another pan from Midway and then make the hanger our of wire. I really like the scale, it has worked great for me for the last 6 years.

Those RCBS parts should work.
I need to get a new hanger for my 50 year old Lyman M-5.
Somehow over the years I succeeded in bending the aluminum wire the pan is attached to enough that it's about to break off.

Thanks for the replies. I plan on forming a hanger and using an aftermarket pan. There seems to be plenty of choices for pans out there..

Even missing the pilots for the trimmer, the pan and hanger for the scale, and the powder drops for the Uniflow... cant complain about FREE stuff.
