So I was at a yard sale today and the older gentleman having the yard sale had a few guns for sale. One of them was a Marlin 336 30-30 in like new shape. I know the older ones are more desirable, and I've heard they had a special production one for Walmart and I didn't want that one. The wood looked almost like the one at Walmart instead of shiny, but I'm not sure if they are all like that are not. Anyway, he was asking $250 and I was very tempted, but I decided to pass not knowing enough about them. I asked him if he knew how old it was and he told me he had no idea that he'd never shot it. He said over the years he had bought guns from people when they needed money and just put them in the closet. He explained that he gave the ones his kids wanted to them, and was selling the rest.
