Some will indeed be surprised at the lethality of the 9mm pistol round 124 grain. Watch part 2 also. The sub 2000 KelTec is also used for the longer distance and the CZ-p01 tactical with 5 1/2 inch barrel for up to 200 yards., of 25- 440 yards, with ball and HP rounds. The darn Federal hp's expanded at 440 yards in soft tissue, went right through the wood backstop bounced of the plate and was fully intact in the berm.
Who ever questioned the power of the 9, should be impressed from this video. all with iron sights also.

Wow I guess the 9mm Ray of death could be used as artillery fire , they also say a .22 is Deadly out to 1.5 miles some.22 ammo boxes even state that on them
Seem like so many folks consistently try to prop up the 9mm ?

Even the most anemic rounds can be lethal at considerable range, which is why we must always know our target and what lies beyond.

Having said that, maximum/lethal range and effective range are very different things.

Same thing in car crash deaths- how fast can you go and not die? Well, Are you buckled? Thin? Fat? In a Chevy? In a Ford? What did you crash into? A wall? Another car? A train? The variables are endless....

It is not so much that some people "hype" the performance of pistol rounds, it is that most people underrate them. I have read articles by "experts" stating that no handgun is effective at over 50 feet, that the .45 ACP won't reach out more than 25 yards, that a .38 Special bullet will fall to the ground in under 50 yards regardless of the angle of departure, that trying to hit a man at 100 yards with a .357 Magnum would be "idiotic", etc., etc. (This is not limited to pistols - I was told by an Army rifle instructor that the ball ammunition we were using would just penetrate the paper target, then fall to the ground!!)

My issue with vidoe #2 is the gun used. Evaluating "carry" ammo at 400 meters with a non-carry gun renders the test non conclusive for me.

I'd say the 9mm is deadly as far away as it it accurate. And that is dependent on the firearm it is fired from. All calibers are lethal at amazing distances, but the accuracy potential is where they lack.

Alot "experts" pooh-pooh many, many rounds, including the 9mm, but placed in a vital organ bad things happen. Or good things, depends on want side of trigger your on.
