How high is your belt?

If you carry on a belt, where does your belt sit? Below the hips? Around the upper part of the hip bones? Or above the hips?

I've been trying on some jeans. I normally wear work dungarees like Carhartt or Dickies that have a high rise or overalls. These low rise jeans that are in fashion have the belt sitting about an inch below the top of the hip bone. I don't have big hips and that won't support much weight. It seems that mid 20th-century fashion of high rise trousers is out of date, but it's still the most popular in my poll so far.
