How it's made.

Misinformation? The ending of the second very short video shows 2 torches heating the edge of a blade to bright orange - the narration says that this 'hardens' the edge of the blade. But heating carbon steel to bright orange and allowing it to cool anneals the steel, softening it, removing any temper. Why would they say such a silly thing in a video obviously intended to educate?

I was hoping to find the entire video on it, kinda leaves you hanging.

The original sawmill blade should be heat treated, I would think it would be heat treated after they put an edge on it.

heat treated after they put an edge on it.
Before...you heat treat, temper, then put an edge on a blade.

Making the edge too thin before heat treat can result in wobbly edge and can decarb the steel at the cutting edge.
