How many 327 magnums could you fit in a double barrel N frame?

This is just a weird thought that came to my mind. If you were to stick two over/under .32 barrels on an N frame, and then have two rows of 327 magnum in the cylinder, how many could you fit after factoring in all the thickness requirements?

Let's assume it rotates between top and bottom barrel with each shot fired. That way you're maximizing all the cylinder space.

Obviously this is a pointless speculation. Maybe...just maybe though, I'll be a billionaire one day that can build pointless firearms.

That ejector star though.

Mechanically, I _think_ you'd have max capacity if the inner ring had one less round than the outer ring. Maybe 9 on the outside, so 17 total? Just a guess.

If you did not put the barrel directly over/under each other but diagonally stacked you can get 12 rounds in the face of an N-frame cylinder. Two cylindrical patterns of 6 interlaced with each other. Each pull of the trigger rotates the cylinder 1/12 of a rotation. But this arrangement does not leave you much room for the star in the center and the extractor looks like swiss cheese. The bores in the barrel would also be very close together. IT would be ugly as sin and probably not worth the complexity of operation or manufacture.

Neat idea.

I keep hoping for a large frame .32mag or .327 built large to hold as many rounds as possible. Rails on top and bottom for a light and an optic. I think it would be a great home defense gun in places with a 10rd ammo limit.

Are you talking like a Lefauchuex style?

Lol yes you knew exactly where I got this idea from. That concept in general has always intrigued me.

Also to those of you mentioning the star...yeah I thought about that. I just figured I'd have a solution figured out by the time I'm a billionaire.

The only problem being those laws tend to only pertain to magazine restrictions on semi autos.

I belive you can have as many cartridges as your heart desires in a non-magazine fed revolver.

That's genius. I mean if we're talking purely home defense, add some rails and make it huge. I won't need my TRR8 anymore.

Hopefully 30 Super Carry blows up and the popularity carries over to 327.

Yes, that is why I think it would sell. If you can only have 10rds in a semi then their appeal falls some. Would make a 10rd revolver rather appealing in those locations.

A picture sorta pertaining to the topic, a 357mag in a 500 SW chamber
