How many kinds of FA bursts are there?

I've seen HK's with 4 position trigger groups; safe, semi, tri-burst, full auto. Then there's M16 A4's which have a 3 round burst. Are there any other kinds of burst modes? 2 round bursts? 4 round ones? Are they always in conjuction with semi auto capability? Just curious.

Though HK may hate me, I would still love to have one of those.

Also, wasn't there some russian assault rifle developed in the mid to early 90s with a 2 round burst that was designed to penetrate body armor? The name escapes me at the moment.

Right. The 5.45 x 39 AN-94 was first fielded in 1994, I believe. It had a 2 rd burst that fired at 1800 rds/min, then automatically cylced down to 600/min.
