Does anyone know, or know where I can find how many states have a law stating employers can NOT stop employees with carry permits from keeping their gun in their car on company property ?

The law about unlawful search and seizure (4th amendment) pretty much accomplishes the same thing. Your employer can't search you or your car, and police can't enforce work rules, only laws. Correct? Unless you agree to let them search you or your car as a condition of employment.
Sorry I can't be of help on the list.

Louisiana passed Senate Bill 51 ensuring your right to have a firearm locked in your car at you place of employment. If the employer does not want you to have a firearm in your vehicle, the place of employment must have restricted access and one of the following:

1. A place to safely store your firearm.
2. A parking lot outside of the fenced area where you may park, but is reasonably close to work.

The Fourth Amendment does not limit the right of private employers to engage in searches. Whether employers have a right to search cars on their property depends upon state law. In most states, I believe, if employers have put employees on notice that their cars are subject to search, the employer can legally do so. Also, it is always possible that someone will see a gun in your trunk when you open it, and it will come to the employer's attention in that way. While the police may not enforce an employer's private rules, the employer can fire an employee for violating the rules.

The bottom line is that these kinds of laws actually do provide some protection for employees, but they are controversial even among gun owners because they restrict, admittedly to a limited extent, a property owner's (the employer's) ability to regulate what goes on on his property. The other side of the argument is that when employers prohibit guns in cars, they are effectively preventing their employees from carrying their guns even before they get to work (assuming that there is no secure off-premises parking). So, it's a balancing of those two concerns.

In response to the OP, Florida recently passed such a law as well.

The NEXT thing we need to get fixed in the Ohio CCW laws...

We do have "Castle Doctrine", and you can now drop off/pick up kids the school zones. Some other really stooooopid stuff was fixed this year, too.

We almost had one in TN our lowlife lying POS speaker Jimmie Naifia voted in committee to kill it. He never votes but lately as voted against gun laws.

People can't pat you down at work. That is called simple assault if they do so without your consent. Some might call it harrassment, depending on who the person is patting you down. You can carry many things in your pocket, including cell phones, wallets, keys that cause a pocket to bulge just like when a small handgun is in it. Conceal well and don't tell.
