This is from The Handgun Club Of America:
"West Virginia State Senators have given us an example of how politics should work.
Senate Bill 145 is the West Virginia version of the Castle Doctrine. The bill authorizes the use of deadly force by law-abiding citizens against an attacker in their home and any place outside of their home where they have a legal right to be, and protects individuals from civil lawsuits by the attacker or the attacker's family when force is used. There is no "duty to retreat" from an attacker.
The Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously passed a Committee Substitute for SB 145 last week, and the bill now heads to the Senate floor -- where every member of the West Virginia Senate is a co-sponsor!"
