How to change front sight on 500 S&W

I have an 8 3/8" SW500 and would like to change the front sight. Best as I can figure I need to remove the compensator to do so. Since how to do this is not obvious I would appreciate some guidance as to how to go about this.

Nonono.

Grab the front sight firmly and pull to the rear as far as you can. Then tip up the front of the sight and remove.
