Anyone have any first-hand (or second-hand) experience with these?

I was thinking of getting something similar last year, but I lost the urge. If these little buggers are as accurate out of the box as the usual suspects--and if you can get rings, etc. for them easily enough--they seem like a heck of a deal.

Along with the usual Remingtons and such, the other rifle in the running is a Tikka Sporter/Target/Whatever. I know the Tikka has a terrific trigger and will probably shoot 0.5 MOA, but I don't know about the Howas.

P.S. I did search on the topic, but most posts were about the standard hunting-style 1500s, not the "Supreme" models. If the Supremes are just the same action in a different stock, that would be valuable info too. Thanks.

I have a weatherby vanguard from walmart in .270 win This is a HOWA 1500 action in a synthetic stock.

Its very accurate I can easily put 5 shots under an inch at 100 yards, day in and day out with winchester or remmington ammo form walmart!

The action is very smooth, and the metal work includes a machined and polished steel trigger guard and floorplate.

comparing it to the savage LE10fp and the remmington 700 adl I have it is by far the smoothest best finished action. The trigger is adjustible but mine came at 4.5 lbs and is creepfree and breaks like a glass rod with no overtravel. I have not lowered the pull weight or adjusted mine.

If you can handle it side by side with a remmington and a savage and judge for yourself.
