The only critter I’ve shot this year is a coyote. But I have to give a shout out to the Viper Flex shooting stick/standing rest system. This shooting system is a no kidding portable standing bench rest. I was banging steel off of it at 600 yards without the slightest problem.
They are a bit bulky to carry but are surprisingly easy and quick to deploy and rock steady once set up. The big down side to them is that they are expensive. If however you’re looking for the one and only no kidding easy to carry in the field, serious standing rest these are them. (There might be others but this is the only one I’ve found that’s this good.)
I shot this song dog at about 200 yards standing off the sticks.
