I figured I should take a picture of my latest two purchases for my blog, and well, I couldn't help it so I brought out the whole family. As the title says it's been just about 3 years since I bought my first gun. I had no idea how much I'd have gotten into this stuff. Can't say I regret it in the least bit though!
Nothing expensive and nothing fancy. I think I've made reasonable decisions but I noticed I'm lacking in some areas from the pictures tonight. I definately need a 1911

Larger pics can be nabbed from links off my blog if you want a closer view.
Inventory:
Rifles (left to right) Mosin Nagant M44, Remington 870 Express, K31 Swiss, CETME, Egyptian AK, Steyr M95, Bushmaster AR-15 "Dissapator", Saiga .410.
Handguns (left to right): Glock 21, Walther P22, Glock 23C, CZ-75B, and a Keltec P-3AT laying on the floor.
I definately need to get a 1911. After Tuner's review of the Springfield GI model I'm pretty sure an SA Milspec isn't a horribly bad choice for a starter. I'm obviously not into fancy target shooting or horribly comfortable guns at this point. It doesn't really fill any 'niche' seeing as how I've already got fullsize pistols in .45 and 9mm -- but it's just not American to not own a 1911. That's pretty much why I have the Remington 870. It's just not right to not own a reliable pump-action shotgun in this country.
Milsurps are fun. I'm surprised at how much I've enjoyed reading about them and how much fun I've had with my Mosin. My Steyr is another matter as the ammo doesn't burn right in it that I've got on hand. I'll need to reload it to make it work. The K31 hasn't been fired as I'm awaiting proper ammo. Long story. Definately want an Enfield and should start looking at CMP to get myself a proper Garand.
Damn I'd love to get 3-4 Garands in my posession and invite older vets out for a day at the range on me. Six vets, 3-4 Garands, maybe 1k of 30-06 and bring along that "new fangled" poodle-shooter AR-15 with a slew of .223 to pass the time. Just let 'em rip away and sit back watching.
As far as battle rifles go, well, I should probably get an FAL of some kind. I don't know why -- I just think I should.
Any other suggestions on what I should start looking for? Yeah, I know the answer: all of them.
