Often i go out hunting with howard leight electronic muffs. I get a lot of **** from my buddies but i dont hear any ringing in my ears or noticeable hearing loss. while out hiking or doing other stuff where i dont anticipate shooting but im still carrying i wont walk around with muffs on and thats what weirds me out. I need to just get over it and suppress something. Maybe someday.
Electronic muffs are awesome, I wish they were around when I was a kid. :(

I live in a suppressors-are-evil state, so even that option isn’t available. :(:(

Have fun making that GG your own, there are a few things you could do to dial it in. The recoil pad is just about useless on the factory guns so a softer one is always a benefit, and it still had the studs so a sling addition is a piece of cake.

The winged peep looks tough, so if you’re good with that I’d leave it be. It looks like a taller front was added to go with the peep, which may be why the hood over the front sight is missing. I like the bit of protection a front sight hood offers these little carbines, but that’s just a personal choice. If you’re good with the AR style foreend then I’d just leave it as-is. It’s sturdier than the walnut original if you’re banging it about and it adds a Terminator look to go with the Krylon buttstock. (If you name your guns that could be a good one for it.)

Stay safe.

From the research ive done, i think im leaving everything alone, replacing the buttstock with a boyds stock, and putting a lever mount rail on it to be able to put a red dot on, while leaving the irons on and alone. It will probably be pieced together over the next year or so but has a lot of potential. I am very excited for my newest edition!

i have a winchester 94 timber carbine in 444 marlin that has a short ported barrel and it is very loud with decent heavy loads. i will not shoot it with out hearing protetion.
