I built it a few years ago on a Montana Rifle Company M1999 action, (a clone of a Winchester pre-64 model 70) with a Shilen barrel and a stock I carved from a blank with rosewood caps and copper and brass inlays. Chambered in .300 win mag to really reach out and touch something. The scope is an IOR 2.5-10x.

The last time I took it out the range only went to 100 yards, so I wasn't really able to stretch it's legs, but I was able to do this from a prone position after a couple of groups on paper. (Sorry Mr. President, you were a handy target.)

Thank you, Cosmoline. I was trying to give it a sleek, streamlined look and feel, and I think I succeeded in that regard.

Looks good. I like the grain and color of that stock.

I have 2 Montanas, and i think they're great guns.
