I have been thinking about what to say in my email to Gov Schwartzenegger. I was one of the volunteers who helped to get him elected.
From what I've read about him when he was in the movie business, you had one minute to sell him on a script or project etc. If you couldn't make your point in that time, it's highly unlikely that you'd win him over. Keeping that in mind, I want my email to be concise and to the point.
What I had in mind is either to start my letter with, or end it - I haven't decided yet, an excellent no holds barred quote from one of those people who actually wrote the Bill of Rights so that I can put my argument in context.
I need your help because although I am a US citizen now, I was born and raised in South Africa. So although I do know the basics, I am very weak on the details and the context of those who put it all together.
Please find me a nice short quote that I can use. I will post a copy of my email after I send it.
