I've been looking at a AK-47C Rifle by I.O
The amount i can spend is 800
i have heard that the companies customer support is bad but i'm not buying it directly from them
also what do you think about a red dot scope for a ak-47
The ak only cost about 600

I agve in to the panic and bought an AK...although I had one a long time ago and got rid of it. I just don't like them.

Anyway...

I bought this at Scott'sOutdoor Sports in Jay, FL.

Paid $599 for it.

I cleaned it and put 100 rounds through it. It shoots 12" to the left at 100 yards. I'm going to have to try and drift the front sight or buy one of those tools to do it.

Well, the stock set is a Tapco side-folder set. They do suck quite badly. (I broke the hinge out of mine within a week.)

But they're easily replaceable.

Oddly, they mention the side rail optics mount twice in the text...but the rifle in the picture doesn't have one. Strange.

Hey lookie their, an American lookin' AK (dark earth, and magpul lookin' mags, or mabey they are?), I hate those wood guns, a few being the great exception.

I will never buy anything from IO again. I had a horrible horrible experience trying to buy from them. The screwed up my order, then shorted my order on the second go round. I waited months and months missing dealine after dealine they gave me and in the end never did get my stuff. It was the worst online shopping experince I have ever had for anything.

I would avoid the junky tapco furniture anyways. The saw grip is fine but as stated above those stocks are pretty cheesy.

Check out Classic Arms. They had Yugo M70 ab2 underfolders for $750. IMO that would be twice the rifle. My Yugo is one of my favorite AKs. I haven't had any experience with IO or the AK47C, so all I can say is what I've read on the files, and none of it has been good. Most have canted sights and poor fit and finish. To me it would be worth the extra $150 for the Yugo, they are built on heavier receivers, and are just a good AK.

Yes, I was looking for a fixed stock....I actually wanted a Wood stocked WASR...but this was all I could find.

I don't think mine has a scope mount.

I've never heard good things about IO. $600 is how much a wasr-10 costs. Why not get one of those?

i wish i had a good gun store around my area with ak and ak variants

i heard that the io never came with a scope mount
sounds like stealing to me, paying for something your not getting
