For those who can't wear a belt, "because the width digs into your disk", like mine does, from several herniated disks. There is never a good way to use an IWB holster because of the lack of a belt.
What if someone made a thin "but sturdy" strip, the approximate dimensions as a belly band, but not as wide, and ran a strip, "like a belt" along the outside,
It would have to be supported every 4 inches or so to keep it sturdy and prevent the belt from sliding around,
It could be Velcro in the front, and as wide as necessary, depending on the material. This way you could put it on, like a back brace, and have the belt built into the sides or wherever you wanted.
Then you could pull the pants or shorts over it, and have your regular IWB holsters attached to it instead of using a belt. It would not dig in because it would be a softer padded material in the rear, and allow all sorts of adjustments from up and down to left or right.
Just a thought for us banged up guys, who can't use belts too long. Let me know what you think or how you would approach it, I wonder if the gun would still flop around if the pants were over it, or if it would have to be too wide to work properly?

My first thought would be to add some kydex strips to a bellyband something similar to wilderness tactical's csm belt or comp-tac's kydex reenforced belt. It don't think I would take to much to add some neoprene for the inserts on the outer sides and leave the back side soft for comfort.

There's something out already like that, it's some kind of elastic, or something with the holster built right into it. You put it around you, pull up yer pants, tuck your shirt in. I seen a guy on you tube demo it, never even new the gun was there.
