A local dealer here is selling Chinese made AK47s. How do I identify from which manufacturer does it comes from.

The fixed stock version has wood furniture and a folding bayonet at the bottom of the barrel.

The under folding stock version has a receiver that has a slight slant on the receiver end and does not have the folding bayonet.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. It seems that the under folding stock version that I see here is a milled receiver because it has a slant on the end of the receiver.

Are milled receivers better than stamped receivers?

Milled receivers are supposed to be more durable than stamped receivers and are more accurate, at least in theory, due to the added rigidity they offer. They are also heavier and it can be harder to find some accessories for them. Take your pick as either will do.

would you pick the fixed stock or the under folding stock version.

The fixed stock version also comes with a under barrel folding bayonet.

I'd pick a fixed stock as it is much more comfortable to shoot.Underfolding stocks tend to become wobbly the more you fold and unfold them.
