Hello. My name is Patricio, and I am trying to identify an old gun that is in my house from the end of '70s. This gun was found buried in an old building in Puerto Madryn, Patagonia Argentina, that was demolished forty years ago. I am interested in the identification, in order to track the possible owners of this gun. I am a local historian of Puerto Madryn, and I think that is possible that this gun may be involved in some crime of the old town.
I hope you can help me in this task.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards

Patricio

Looks like a Belgian copy of a Webley Bulldog. No special collectors status in that condition.
Thanks .455_Hunter, it is true, it looks like a belgian copy of the Webley Bulldog. There are little diferences, like the number of screws at both sides of the gun, but undoubtely is very similar. I will try to advance in this sense, checking old images of the belgina copies. Regards

A key indicator of "cheapness" is that the frame and barrel are integral, not two pieces threaded together like real Webley products and other quality arms.

I view these guns as the Jimenez or even Keltec of their day- one box of shells represents a lifetime of shooting.

It appears to be missing the mainspring as well. I would bet it likely to be some broken ols gun rather than a historic murder weapon.

Thanks HB and .455_Hunter for their comments. This gun was found buried under the floor of an old burdel of the city, which makes me think about why they hidden her under the floor. Regards
