What IDPA legal speedloader holder can I use with the Safariland Comp 3 speedloaders? Which is the "best" to use, not that I'd be gamming or anything?

Thanks,

jdkelly

So you wouldn't be gaming? (I assume we're not talking about flashing your leggs, which is what I think gamming would mean ;) ). You should carry them the same way you carry them in real life--which is ridiculous, 'cause who's gonna carry those monsters in real life? I just use the springloaded carriers that are IDPA illegal--but I'm not goin' to nationals anytime soon, either.

Blade-Tech makes a nice carrier. Be sure to tell them you are using Comp III's when you order.

...well, the Blade-Tech is SUPPOSED to be top-drawer equipment...but I have a single-speedloader carrier AND a double-speedloader carrier of theirs that are NOT very good pieces of equipment...when I have a chance to get my "paperwork" together, they are going BACK...the single carrier doesn't hold the speedloader very securely, 'prolly 'cause it is OUT-OF-ROUND...the double carrier won't hold both speedloaders with anything approaching the same degree of tension...I don't know if it is a design flaw, or if they were made incorrectly, but...I'M NOT impressed...the BEST speedloader carriers I'VE ever seen are made by Chris Stewart of Ready Tactical Products in Decatur, AL and by Mike Benedict of Talon Tactical in Jasper, GA...MY two cents' worth, anyway....mikey357

Second the plug for Chris Stewart, I use his holsters, magazine carrier, speedloader carriers and moonclip carriers.
His speedloader carriers work somewhat like the verboten Safariland CD2 but are made out of Kydex with a lot more wraparound on the speedloader and barbs on the belt loop/paddle that do NOT turn loose.
He does not (yet) have a www site but you can contact him at
[email protected]
He is also a good guy who supports IDPA shooting with sponsorship of match stages and donation of gear for prizes.
He will make you a Kydex holster for about anything, but for something odd you might have to supply the gun for him to mold to. Unless somebody in one of the local clubs has one for him to use.

ChristopherG,

I guess I mean gaming.

BILL,

I'm looking into the Blade-Techs as well as others. Thanks!

mikey357 and Jim Watson,

I've sent an e-mail to Chris Stewart, Jim thanks for the address.

Mikey357 would you have the e-mail or url for Mike Benedict at Talon Tactical in Jasper?

Thank you all very much!

Mike Benedict's website is www.talontactical.com BTW, he does NOT show the speedloader carriers on the website, but he DOES make 'em...same price as the autopistol mag carriers, IIRC....hope that helps....mikey357
