Very interesting discussion. I think full autos would be common for the same reason AR's once were not popular but now they are.
Imagine all the competitions with full auto elements.
Course the big sandy shoot might not have the attraction it does.
Trend wise I could imagine instead of the light and slim AR's we'd see a lot more heavy barreled, thick handguard and maybe some belt fed converted rifles, you know in case you need to use that fun switch.
On the other hand ranges would either have to be much more substantially designed, or else it would just be as hard today to find a place to actually shoot the thing.
