If you could have only one handgun, what would you choose?

Whatever the new wonder Glock to be released on Dec. 10 will be. It will a world changer and paradigm breaker of the handgun universe.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Again, to answer the question - a Glock 19 for a revolver and a Model SW 66 for a revolver.

It's true, Glock is finally getting into the 1911 game. 25 oz polymer .45 with a trigger that breaks like glass for $600.

I hear the 9mm PCC and revolver are slated for next year.

:D:D:D

Oh gawd, no.

If we are talking about a general purpose handgun that can be used daily in a variety of situations then it would have to be a Glock 19. If we are talking about a collector gun or a cool old gun. There are to many to choose just one.

Easy, peasy. Because it in fact HAS at one time been my only hand gun. As a young underpaid Private in the Army, I was wandering around San Angelo, Texas one day and found a Dan Wesson in a shop at *a price*. It was back when only the initiated appreciated them and the Colt/S&W crowd pooh-pooed the guns and owners as wanna-bees.

I bought it because; it was pretty, well made and TRULY spoke to me upon picking it up. Then, I learned how stupendously accurate and versatile they are. Build it up to a scoped hunter, down to a carry snub. Shoot light .38 snake shot or full house hunting loads.
I loved it from the moment I laid eyes on it and after taking it out to; "A Place to Shoot" (anyone remember that outside of San Angelo?) and having the owner of the range teach me to re-load... The versatility only grew.

Yup, a DW .357, a .38/.357 hand loader and a zip-lock bag of components and you - are - set!
I always believed that there was no pistol round more all 'round capable than .38/.357 and no hand gun more versatile than a fine DW.

Todd.

You've got fine taste in revolvers. I've got it's twin. IMG_0491 (4).JPG

Not theoretical really for me, I have only been able to afford to keep one gun a couple different times when I have had to sell assets. First time I kept the Glock 22, second time I kept the a Glock 23. If I have to do it again, I’ll keep the Glock 35. If I had no guns and I was able to buy just one, it would be a Glock 35.

Would for me be a 4" 357 6 shot revolver. Concealable, versatile for load what you want, and doesn't hide the precious reloadable brass in the tall grass. So stainless gp-100 for me. I do agree though, why have just one?

Or

Dan Wesson 1911 Guardian in 9mm

Just absolutely love everything about it!

I don't think I did..
Only one? Dan wesson 445 supermag with a 2 inch, 4 inch 6 inch and 8 inch barrel.

Love zombie threads!
Even the 357 pac works for this in that regard.

My original response was a 4" .357; but now I might opt for the Wilson EDC X9..................

I apologize; however, I don't see a viable reason to own only one pistol or revolver.

Well, lack of money and a complete inability to control ones impulses long enough to save up $500 will do it!

It's a common problem, apparently.
