Illinois Members, vote yes for a Constitutional Convention in November

i am still thinking its a bad idea!!,
i am going to go vote here in about 20 mins.
those of you who are saying that there is nothing to lose, you have it wrong. there is always things you can lose and things you can gain. right now, with the Democrat momentum, i think it would be a bad time...
am i wrong?

I have thought about it for a long time and eventually decided to vote YES.

I have been going back and forth on this for a long time and finally decided there is little to lose and a lot to gain.

There are many things other than firearms wrong with the Illinois constitution. Even if we can't fix the RTKBA, maybe some other things can get fixed.

I'm both relieved that it was defeated, so that Mayor Daley wouldn't have the opportunity to extend the Cook County's "assault weapons" ban and handgun ban into the state's constitution... and I believe he REALLY WOULD HAVE TRIED...

...and I'm disappointed that it was defeated, because it was an opportunity to craft a constitution that would not allow someone like Blago to still be occupying the governer's mansion.

However, the ConCon would have been dominated by politicians and lawyers, who always protect the interests of... politicians and lawyers.

What can people in Illinois do?

He already tries every legislative session. And under the current Illinois constitution it would be perfectly legal.
