I'm been a big Ak guy for a few years and I just noticed that I'm wanting more MBR's in .308 ever since Wolf 7.62x39 both became scarce and almost doubled in price over the summer (can still find some for less than $100/1000). I picked up a DPMS .308, now I getting an FAL and I already want a PTR-91K. I have been thinking of selling some of my AK's (AMD-65, Saigas) and just keeping the really nice onces (Kreb's KTR-03S, VEPR K, Saiga 12) to use the money for more .308's. I figure that it is probably that I loved AK's so much because they were inexpenseive and very cheap to shoot as well. Now that ammo is more money, I want to shoot less 7.62x39 and more .308 because they are so much closer in price since 7.62x39 increased in price and most .308 has not increased much if at all. Does this make sense?
In the end, instead of having multiples of types of AK's, I want to have 1 of each of the military MBR's in .308. Sounds like a plan to me. More bang for the buck.
Also, are there any other semi-auto .308's that you would suggest I pick up? Have to be hi-cap (more than 10 rounds, no VEPR, Saiga).
