100 yd target, 3-shot groups from left to right with IMR 3031 and 55 grain HP dogtown bullets. Charge from left to right: 21.6, 22.1, 22.6, and 23.1 grains.
My esteemed colleagues at the High Road have impressed upon me that vertical spread is more important than horizontal spread, therefore I would draw attention to the right half of the target where I used 22.6 and 23.1 grains. It would seem that my next batch would be somewhere in between these two charges.
I would also note that the two groups on the right follow a pattern of two shots in the middle and one to the right, in that order (shot next to the number 8 is part of third group, shot on very edge of target is part of fourth).
Question: would optimum load be closer to third or fourth group?
