I have been on the lookout for the perfect pair of gloves to use when I go out shooting my M1 during the chillier months. The "perfect" glove would be warm, waterproof, sturdy, long lasting, and not so bulky that you have no dexterity. You should be able to do things like grab an enbloc clip out of a pouch and load it up with your gloves on.
I have tried the GI trigger mitts but found them too bulky and clumsy. I have tried various leather insulated gloves with some success but none were very waterproof and sucked when they got wet. I have thought about trying neoprene gloves but have heard bad things about there longevity.
Anyone have some good experience with gloves that they want to share?

Wool will keep you warm even when wet, Look for something with a wool lining. Also those little hand warmers are nice because then you don't have to wear bulky gloves to have warm hands either.
