I've never owned a shotgun before so could you guys give me a few pointers about cleaning it for the first time? Its a Winchester 1300 Defender shotgun. The owner's manual says its coated inside and out with a rust preventative compound. It should be removed using gun oil. Ok, got no problem with that but I noticed while cleaning it there is an oily substance in the magazine tube. This, I guess, is also preservative. My problem is that it looks like a real pain to disassemble the mag tube to clean it. Is it necessary to do that? I know I sound like a real dufus but I'm mighty green at this. I've owned other types of guns and they never had this kind of gunk on them. Also can you give me some tips on general cleaning. How thorough does this gun have to be cleaned after use? The owner's manual is rather vague about that. TIA
