**Searched and wow, 45 pages of hits. Sheesh! lol**
Okay, as the title says, I’ve got a Savage Axis (.30-06), circa 2013. Actually it’s my son’s. Anyway, I bought the M-CARBO kit that has the new spring and washers. (The stock trigger is long and creepy as I’m sure y’all know.)
Obviously I’ll need to remove the stock to get up at the trigger I guessing (don’t laugh!)
So the M-CARBO video looks like it’s super easy. But what I’d like for you kind folks to tell me is: what do I need to know when putting the stock back on? I’m guessing it’s bedded. I’d love to just remove, do the trigger job and drop it back in, but I don’t want to mess it up (like not get it seated/screw up the bedding, etc.).
My shadetree gunsmithing is limited to field stripping and cleaning my small collection (shotguns and my EDC Glock), and cleaning my old deer rifle (I don’t take that apart).
Thanks and I appreciate any advice y’all can give my old self.
