I have a Beretta Model 70S Garcia that could use a little help. When I go to the suppliers, I find all kinds of 70S and 70 Puma parts, but don't have anything to tell me whether the parts are interchangeable. Without micrometers and/or some technical information about the parts vs the parts on the pistol, it's a crap shoot to do a " buy and try" with new barrels or slides, etc. and it could run into some money.
Anybody got any experience with rebuilding these pistols, or have a reference guide to interchangeable parts? The gun itself is solid, but I'd like to dress it up with some newer parts if they'll fit... but I don't need any more paperweights... which is about all parts that don't fit are used for.
