I recently opened a crate containing two 440 round tins of what is said to be 1951 production Hungarian 7.62X54R heavy ball ammunition.

On top of the two cans was a piece of paper with a bunch of handwritten numbers and some text on it. Any chance that some fellow Highroader could tell me what this says? I thought it was kind of cool.

The ammo is great I might add. For $35.00 per 440 rounds it is a super bargain. Unfortunately I have only one rifle chambered for it and it is a beautiful little M1938, she sure does have a kick! About 10 to 15 rounds at a time and I have had enough for one day. So these 800 or so rounds I have left will probably last quite a while!!

Thanks in advance for any help.

I checked with my Hungarian pal.

He says that it roughly translates to,

"I am a beautiful 20yo woman who will give herself completely to the finder of this note. Dial 555-1212."

Too bad she's like 80 now.
