Interview with Stephen Willeford; Louder with Crowder

Sam, I saw the other thread on the Sutherland Springs shooting had been closed and I didn't read it thoroughly to make sure this isn't a duplication, but for those who haven't seen it this link is a 37 minute online interview with the guy, Stephen Willeford, who stopped the shooter:



It is the first time I've heard that Mr. Willeford indeed used his own AR15 and also that he's a retired NRA instructor. It's a pretty interesting listen from the viewpoint of learning about tactical situations on the fly. Mr. Willeford, for one, grabbed his AR, but had to load his magazines before running out the door. He describes shooting Kelley in the side between ballistic plates.

This thread might be better moved to Strategies, Tactics etc for that reason alone.

Based on all the reports I've read thus far, I'm inclined to believe that this guy's actions were indeed heroic. And based on the account of one survivor, he clearly and definitely interrupted the coward's plan to finish off the remaining members of the congregation.

I was pointing it out for the benefit of RocketMedic, who has repeatedly stated he wants to make AR's more expensive or difficult to purchase and own.
