Things changing here in the hollow. Small game season starts in a couple weeks. Hope to get out some before I move. Here's looking east off the deck. Some big bucks live back there.

It looks a little flater here. Saturday is the first day of bow season. Sure am looking forward to it.

BTW, I thought there would be a few more red leaves in a late Sep pic from WV. But anyway good luck to you.

Bow season opens here Saturday morning. :D Bought some land in WV last spring, so will be hunting there for first time this fall. Yippee!

Oh how I miss West Virginia in the fall. I'm going hunting in Missouri this Nov instead of back home in WVA.

My wife's family lives up in Kingwood WVA. Its a lovely place and I miss it alot.

Handgun black bear season was last week. Archery whitetail season starts the middle of October.
Fall is here - forecast to go down to the 30s tomorrow night. The birch leaves are turning yellow, first frost soon.

Dove for now, deer, quail, and turkey Nov. 1, I believe.

I guess you could say fall is in the air here. Yesterday it was 104. It's gotten up to 59 so far today. I guess I'll need to cover the pool soon. :D

Oh boy, now I'm starting to suffer from PHS (pre-Hunting Syndrome, not to be confused with Post-Hunting Syndrome which comes in about 2 months). Deer hunting in WA in 2 weeks from Saturday, then out to MT for deer and antelope for 10 days, then 5 days of Elk hunting in WA followed by 4 days of deer hunting in MO. Can't wait. Might have to sub-contract some freezer space this year, or buy another one.

BTW, I thought there would be a few more red leaves in a late Sep pic from WV.

In the 40's here last couple nights so it color change will be here shortly. I'm in the southern WV so it takes a mite longer. I'll try and post some color a little later.

Yes I am Terry. There's nothing I like better than site seeing. Looking over God's Creation is for me. BTW nothing would make me happier than to see you get it.

:( I'm taking the gun I'm building from parts (that I wanted to use this year) to the gunsmith today. It seems there are just some things I'm not going to be able to do myself (like working on the barrel threads so the extractor groove will line up right). Maybe I'll get it back before the season starts.

oo yeh

Bow season opened here in MN and it is going to be a good one thsi year. I was out scouting today and I saw a few does. I dont hunt bow but Its almost ready for gun season.... Hang on for the pics....

You guys make me sick. :) I would kill(a deer)for a place to hunt like where you guys live. I live in a city pop.+/- 150,000 in anti-gun northern Illinois. It's illegal to hunt with a rifle, shotgun only 8 days a year but even that's illegal in the county where I live. So I settle for a bow and have to drive at least 1 hour to hunt. The problem is it's crowded because everyone else is driving there too!! :banghead: You lucky...............'s :)

Here are a couple of pictures taken through my kitchen window in Arkansas. Can you spot the turkeys in the second one?
