I think I know the answer, but am not 100% certain.

I have a new S&W Model 60 Pro; I believe it is a round butt frame, but don't really know how to tell for sure, or how to tell the difference between a round butt & a square butt frame.

Thanks for any help.

Sam

+1 rcmodel however

Isn't the "Classic' lline Model 36 1 7/8" bbl snubbie in the current catalogue
a square butt?

Shoot1sam - you might take a look at the S&W Website
under handgun or revolver accessories S&W has some
J-frame grips in nice wood, in a reasonable $ 30 - $ 60 range

fwiw I have a 60-15 .357 mag 3" bbl and the rear adj. sight.
and I've been looking at upgrading over the stocker rubber grips

Now, I'll go find the 'clasic' 36 and confirm rcmodel was not up to date

FWIW the 36 classic is a round butt. AFAIK S&W never made the 60 in square butt. If they did they would be pretty rare.

Yeah, looked at the S&W web site
and the current 'classic ' 36 is a rd butt

Been looking at square butt smiths on funbroker sigh
