Is the Remington UMC brass reloadable? The reason I ask is because I picked up a box of ammo and it says 55gr. MC(metal case) but Im not sure if it means that the actual case is metal or if its referring to the bullet being metal cased. Please help.

thanks

ok thats what i thought... i knew about the weight...i just wasnt positive about the MC part...no ammo ive bought before had that as a bullet type

thanks

yeah im used to gettin .243 and 30/30 ammo....first time buyin .223...kinda freaked me out a lil when i saw the MC thing...lol...thought they were kinda doin like wolf with the steel case thing...

Which manufacturer used the trademarked term MetalClad in the old days?
Was that Rem/UMC/Peters?

And no, you can't reload UMC brass.
You need to send it to me (please prepay the freight) and I'll dispose of it properly.

Thank you.

Well, I always thought R - P meant 'Reload Plenty'. So that's what I did.

UMC is excellent brass. Same quality as Win any of the other majors. If you look at your reloading manuals, powder manufacturers often use R - P brass to work up their loads as well as the other big manufacturers. Reload it and be happy!
