Is the HS 2000 going to be a collectors item someday?

I bought a Croation Sensation (HS2000) from Leigh on back a while.

I really like it and carry it quite a bit. I shoot it as well as any Glock I've owned. :D

What I'm wondering is, now that Springfield has bought the rights and renamed the gun, will the original become a collector's item?

Don't hold your breath!

Sure it's possible, kinda depends on how many of the "HS" guns got in before Springfield bought the naming rights, as it were. But I think it'll be a while before you see the gun reach that status, "collectability" isn't usually an overnight thing. Especially among folks who still see beautifully crafted steel and wood as more aesthetically appealing than black polymer. It's probably gonna take several more years for all us fogies who don't ooh and ahh for plastic to die off, and Plasticmania to sweep the world of gun collecting!;) BTW I own a Glock or five, enjoy shooting them quite a bit, just don't see myself putting one in a $500 holster-belt rig or $5000 gun cabinet to show off its good looks! Oh, almost forgot, enjoy your Croation Sensation! And if your HS gets collectable, think what my Norinco 1911s will be worth someday: "Come see the .45s so deadly they were BANNED by presidential decree!" :D

Maybe in 100 or 150 years or so - but I think the best thing you can do with your HS2000 is to shoot it!
