Ruger makes the Blackhawk Convertible. Its too big for CCW.

I read an old thread talking about the Taurus Triad that would fire all three rounds. I can't find it on their site.

I want a CCW revolver with two cylinders that will fire the 9mm and .357. Is there such a thing? Will there be such a revolver?

The Triad never seemed to make it into production, I was at the SHOT show when they had it on display and people were really excited about it. They had a bunch of innovative stuff on display there and I was very interested in several of them but have yet to see any of the really cool ones in production and that was two years ago.

I think you're looking at a mainly custom route if you want a switch cylinder DA in 9mm/.357. For a while I had a .357 and 9mm SP-101 here at the same time and tried to interchange cylinders but the .357 was too long so I figured the best I could do would be a 9mm/.38Spl but that would require buying a specific donor .38spl gun and then I'd still have a combo that's a pain in the tail to switch.

There's someone on here, a Moderator I think, that has a Smith & Wesson I believe he had set up with two cylinders but it definitely wasn't factory.

I feel your pain, I think it'd be really cool too as I have a Blackhawk convertible and really enjoy it.

I have a 9mm cylinder for a S&W 940 that I had fitted to a S&W 642. This makes for a fairly powerful cartridge in a very lightweight gun that is very easy to reload. The nice thing about this is the cylinder also fits in my S&W 60-4. That is a nice combo also.
Do a search for 642 and 940 you will find the info about what I had to do to get this to work.

Sadly there are no more 940 cylinders for the pre magnum J frame.
