Is this a good model and price?

Local shop has Colt 1911 (1991 model) Stainless Steel 4.25 inch barrel (Commander size) for $679. NIB.

This is exactly the type of 1911 I've been looking for. But are the 1991 models good? Is this a good price? Usually I see Colts going for over $800.

Nimrod: sounds like a decent price to me. I have several series 80 colts, two of which are 1991 model and they've been flawless out of the box. I'd say, if its what you've been looking for, go get it. You might try getting him down a bit...won't hurt to ask. Go here for a comparison:
