I picke up an Ithica 1911 .45 today and wanted to get some opinions on value and see what else to look for to be sure everything is authintic. According to the serial # it was manufactured in 1943. It is marked with a p on top of the slide and on the fram near the mag release. It is marked FJA above the p on the frame. On the other side it has several stamps, one next to ejector, one below where it reads us property and one near the back of the frame. It says notenglishmade on the slide and under the serial number. Here are some pics to help but not sure how clear they will be. Any idea on realistic value on this and should i be looking for any other markings?

These pistols are rarer than other 1911's. I don't know the production numbers, but I'm sure there are others here that do. I have seen them on gunbroker for around $1700.
