A friend has located an Iver Johnson American Bulldog 44. He does not have internet access so I offered to check it out. The number "1123" is under the grips. Can someone help me with info about this Revolver? Thanks.
Sadly there is very little info out there on these. If it is the gun I believe it to be it should be chambered in .442 webley. Even if you did find some ammo it's not advised to fire the gun. They where in production from 1883-1899 in several models. Old stock was reportable for sale for much longer and the gun cost $3.31 in 1884.
Does the gun have anything else written on it? Btw best to ask about older firearms in firearms research you tend to get quicker and more informative replies.
