We should get out on Inauguration Day and exercise RKBA.

Nothing "scary" or "confrontive." Just a show of Americans, American Flags, and some discreet open carry. If required, we could remove the bolt from the rifle. No carry of ammo, no loaded guns.

Just an orderly demonstration on Inauguration Day to remind Americans --

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

This while Pres. Elect Obama takes an oath "To protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America."

I corrected the year . . . I hate it when that happens! :cuss:

It's a good idea, but we need to get the message out to more people. Anybody have the resources to start up a website and convince the NRA and GOA to push it?

if you're planning on doing this outside of DC - go for it.
I'd take a 2nd thought before doing that at the inauguration though. Something about guns (loaded or otherwise) in a public space where the president is speaking, tends to make people like the secret service a little jumpy.

Even if demonstrating in a peaceful respectable manner, it is kind of asking for a confrontation with LE.
